stephen proctor is a "VJ", or visual jockey. In 2006, he co-founded Grateful Inconvenience, Inc., a creative design & production company that focuses on live environmental design, film production & visual media. His time is split between an active involvement in the music industry and an ever-growing need for creativity in the Church at large. He's spends most of the time on the road with musical artists and engaging in conversations with other creatives in the areas of "visual worship". The rest of the time, he finds himself back in his Nashville studio dreaming up new ways to effectively stimulate and challenge the Body of Christ into active worship both in and out of the church building. His passion is for "visual worship"...to explore new ways to visually echo our response to the glorious revelations of God. And he loves to help others find their way on this journey, as well. "My hopes are to facilitate and train the local Body in effectively and clearly projecting the message of Christ and modeling authentic worship through the relevant and dynamic technology that we have at our fingertips today."
Greg feels very awkward writing a bio. It feels about as awkward referring to myself in the third person as writing about everything I have accomplished in my life. For the past five years or so I have been heavily involved in live event production, usually providing visual support for events like Passion, Catalyst, Willow Creek conferences, etc. For the past three years I’ve also been the tour manager for Chris Tomlin. This continues to take up about 25% of my work schedule during the non tour season, and ramps up to 150% of my time during a tour. I work with an incredible team of guys at Renewed Vision. Collectively our heart beats to see the church create incredible environments to connect people to God. It so happens our gifts lie in technology, so we try to help people do that with technology. In 2007 I married my soulmate, Natalie, and have learned that my most important job is loving and serving her as best I can. Still figuring that one out.
Nate is a creative director and producer who co-founded Grateful Inconvenience, Inc. He is heavily influenced by his two loves: Art and travel! The son of missionary parents, he spent much of his youth in Africa and has since continued to travel all over the globe with his work as a director and producer. With a life long passion for art he approaches his projects with an organic flare that often allows him to put a fresh spin on a design. His creative interpretation and desire to clearly communicate the message at hand is constantly brought to bare as he designs, consults and teaches in the Church at large. "My work is nothing more than the landscape of the particular mission field God has allowed me to be a part of. While it's contours may change, the mission remains the same: Life as Worship! The greatest evidence of God speaking is the Church acting! Worship is the active outpouring of a purposefully cultivated relationship with a known and loving Heavenly Father. It is lived out, walked out and poured out in real life every day. The vast portion of our worship happens far from the confines of the church building. The evidence of worship is more often dirty hands and feet than the music, lights & video of our church services."
