Sally Morgenthaler is one of my heroes. She’s been challenging the status quo and dreaming about the future of worship for as long as I’ve known her. I met her in my early years of VJ-ing and got to reconnect with her at a few recent events. I wanted to get on iChat to pick her brain about a few things and to share with you her thoughts. Prepare to have your mind blown. Sally’s not kidding around.

*warning: this video is fairly lengthy (about 50 min), so you’ll have to carve out some time to watch it. I know it’ll be worth it…wouldn’t want to waste your time. If you don’t have time to watch, then you can download the MP3 of the chat, sync it to the iPod, & listen to it on your way to work. Enjoy!

“We are not producing worshipers in this country. Rather, we are producing a generation of spectators, religious onlookers lacking, in many cases, a true encounter with God, deprived of both the tangible sense of God’s presence and the supernatural relationship their inmost spirits crave.- Sally Morgenthaler, Worship Evangelism
